Dotty Dogs would recommend bringing your puppy for their first groom as soon as they are able to go out after they have had their jabs, this is normally around the 12 week mark. When they come in as puppies they soon learn that the grooming process is nothing to fear and actually it can be a lot of fun. I offer free puppy grooms from 14-19 weeks old. It's a chance for the puppy to come into the salon, have a brush, nails trimmed, bath, blow dry and a tidy up of the coat. I can also give you some ideas on what you can do at home to get your puppy used to salon noises and being handled. The more accustomed your dog can become to the process the easier and more stress free they will find it through out their whole lives. The best thing about this service is that the first puppy intro groom is completely free as Dotty Dogs feels it is a very important stage in a puppies development
